All times held at Risen Christ Church. Current local health rules followed. The following three weeks of July/August 2025 Build Days are generally for those who are ages 5+:
7/07-7/11 Week One – Maximum Minifig Madness 8/11-8/15 Week Two – Survival on the Mountain Island of Treasures 8/18-8/22 Week Three – Roadways, Ramps, and Ridiculous Romping As usual, while we have some themes expressed here, there will be all the regularly featured parts of our summer camps, and our builders are not limited to these themes for building when they attend. Activities will include but are not limited to: stop-mo movie maker, book nook, brick lab (LEGO® free build area), racetrack, art station, service projects, nature trail, Friends theme bricks and sets, non-brick assembly opportunities such as Snap Circuits, blacklight area, LEGO® sets, kids’ ideas, tinker tub, etc. Building bricks and a variety of other materials used each week. This program is best for kids who love LEGO® bricks. We’ll do fresh air brain breaks in addition to concentrated build time. The drop-off/pick-up procedure and other specifics will be covered in our info details for those who choose to attend. These will be emailed closer to our actual program times. Priority for filling our slots will go to past attendees. Snack provided. Our program morning runs from 9:30AM to 12PM each day. Only full weeks are available this year. Next up is Preschool Summer Build and Play Weeks starting the Tuesday after Memorial Day. We still have a little space left and a great team of teachers who will be on board for a great four weeks of independent stations, build time, crafts, outdoor large motor and tons of goofy fun! Since we last checked in to write up the next things happening, we had a MLK JR Build Day, some February Break build days, we are currently doing a three-week mini Spring Fling Build Week, and our summer build weeks are already full. We still have space in our Preschool Summer 2024 Build Weeks which will start after Memorial Day and end on June 21st. These four weeks are for children moving up from a fours preschool program or entering kindergarten in the fall of 2024. To qualify, your child must be able to function well independently at multiple free choice stations. These weeks are ideal for kiddos who love brick-based toys, but also for those who don't -there are many options throughout the morning. See the flyer below for more details. We are very word of mouth for filling our program events, so we often forget that our website is even here... Dear me!!!!! So, just for fun, we will say, that we had super fun over the summer in June, July and August building with dozens of builder friends. Then in October, November and December, we have enjoyed having everyone back for some fall and holiday building as well, finishing the year strongly with two days of Winter Wonderland building during the break week! We will be posting soon what our summer calendar will look like and what our build week themes will be. In the meantime, we will tell you that we tentatively plan the following for 2024 - January 15 - 10AM - Noon or 2PM (2 hr ($25) or 4 hr ($50) options February Break - Thurs, 2/22, times TBD February Break - Wed, 2/21, Walworth Pks and Rec Event Day February 29, Leap into LEGO® Bonus Day Build (should we do this?!) March 14, Pi Day Build (another fun opportunity to play with bricks!) April Break Build - TBD April 8, it will be Eclipse Day! Probably no build since we'll all be outside, but maybe we can honor the day with something fun like an eclipse phases build! We'll post about that later. May 4, Saturday - Family Build Day to honor May the Fourth! This will be a Star Wars focused build and activity day!!! All ages welcome.
